This Privacy Policy explains how SportCollectorAI ("we," "us," or "the App") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

Photos you capture. When you scan an item, the photo is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to identify the item, assess its condition, and estimate its value. We do not store your photos on our servers — they are transmitted for analysis and discarded immediately after a response is returned.

Collection data you enter. Item names, years, notes, and the AI-generated type/quality/value results are stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to this data and it is not transmitted to or stored on our servers.

Subscription and purchase information. If you subscribe, your purchase is processed by Apple's App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status, which involves an anonymous identifier tied to your device — not your name, email, or payment details.

Device and usage identifiers. RevenueCat and Apple's StoreKit generate anonymous identifiers used solely to determine whether your device has an active subscription.

How We Use Information

• To identify memorabilia items and generate quality/value estimates you request
• To verify and manage your subscription status
• To operate, maintain, and improve the App

Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third parties, each governed by their own privacy practices:

• Anthropic (Claude API) — processes photos you submit for scanning to generate identification results
• RevenueCat — manages subscription status and entitlements
• Apple App Store — processes all payments; we never see or store your payment details
• Google Firebase / Google Cloud — hosts the backend service that relays scan requests to Anthropic

Data Storage and Retention

Your collection data (item names, notes, scan results) lives only on your device's local storage. Uninstalling the App or clearing its data will permanently delete this information. We do not operate a server-side database of your collection.

Your Choices

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's App Store account settings. Because we do not store your collection data or photos on our servers, there is no server-side data for us to delete on request — deleting the App from your device removes it entirely.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
